A retreat "away" from usual and familiar surroundings offers undistracted time for teens to participate in a faith experience that is transforming. The relaxed atmosphere increases their sense of belonging in the community of believers. Retreats, weekend or day-long, include talks, prayer, fun activities, Sacraments, music, small groups, good food, and more. Retreats are important to the spiritual development and emotional growth of teens, helping them to develop a deeper understanding God, others, and themselves.
As a component of Faith Formation, confirmed our not,
high school teens are asked to make at least one retreat each year. Retreats help teens grow more deeply in faith and Catholic lifestyle.
