The Order for the Blessing on the Fifteenth Birthday (Quinceaneara) is the custom of celebrating the passage from childhood to adolescence among many Hispanics in the United States with a ritual that expresses thanksgiving to God for the gift of life. The ritual asks for a blessing from God for the years ahead. This blessing can take place within a Mass or by blessing outside of Mass, according to the rites of the Church.
