Celebrant Daniel Cardinal DiNardo Nov. 8, 2009
The sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist together are called the Sacraments of Initiation. These three sacraments are the foundation of the Christian life. Every Catholic should receive all three. The Sacraments of Initiation are closely related. All three connect us more closely with the parish community, and in all three we receive the Holy Spirit and his gifts.
Together, the three Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist, initiate new members and help the community of faith remember the earthly Jesus and celebrate his risen presence within the Church today.
